Community Building

EKSCA creates welcoming spaces for Nepalis, Nepal-connected families, students, scholars, and friends of Nepal to gather in Eugene.

Community-building events include Dashain, Tihar, Chhath, Nepali New Year gatherings with the rhododendrons of Hendricks Park, the annual summer picnic, and cultural showcases through music, dance, food, art, and stories.

Delegations and Exchanges

Since its founding, EKSCA has supported exchanges between Eugene and Kathmandu that create durable civic, cultural, and professional relationships.

Past work includes collaboration with USAID/Nepal on electric vehicles, support for the Lumbini Clinic, fire department knowledge-sharing, and the 20X21 Eug Mural Project featuring Nepali artist Kiran Maharjan.

Students and Scholars

EKSCA supports Nepali students and scholars as they pursue academic and professional goals in Eugene.

The Frank Vignola Scholarship Fund supports Nepali students at the University of Oregon, while the broader EKSCA network connects students with community, resources, and a sense of belonging.
