EKSCA hosted a screening of Aina Jhyaalko Putali and a dialogue on public education in Nepal with Swastika Shrestha of Teach for Nepal. Around 20 community members attended.
Created in memory of Frank Vignola, the fund will distribute $10,000 annually for five years to support Nepali students at the University of Oregon.
The Eugene-Kathmandu relationship began in 1975 and continues through community gatherings, delegations, student support, and cultural exchange.
EKSCA supported the 20X21 Eug Mural Project by helping bring Kathmandu-based artist Kiran Maharjan to create murals in the Eugene-Springfield community.
An EKSCA-led tour visited Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Gorkha, Pokhara, Lumbini, and Chitwan, with a highlight stop in Dharapani in Gorkha district.
